Undescribable Perfection

CrawlerChunky

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

Salubfoto

It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

A man living in a futuristic sterile colony begins to question his circumscribed existence when his friend is chosen to go to the Island, the last uncontaminated place on earth. The Island might actually be one of Bay's most underrated projects and even tho it takes inspiration from Total Recall and other science fiction movies it does things on it's own Bayform way with some terrific action sequences (like the scene in the bridge) and 2 terrific performances from Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor and once again Sean Bean as the villain which is a good things as always. The cgi and the effects in general are superb and there's a lot of suspense and a good overall concept and i wish that some people left their vendetta with Michael Bay sometimes and actually realized that not all of his movies are terrible as they might think they are.
